Job Title: Flight/Drone Operations Support Service / Ground Support Operations / Visual Observer (GSO/VO) – Tier 1
Position Type: Full Time (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension
Location (s): Greater Atlanta Region, Georgia. – ONSITE (Conyers, GA | Lithonia, GA | Stonecrest, GA | Ellenwood, GA | Woodstock, GA | Woodstock, GA | Dallas, GA | Hiram, GA | Loganville, GA | Snellville, GA)
Shift: Rotational (May require to work on Weekends too)
Required:
● Possess a current driver’s license
● Possess a valid 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (Does not need to be current, but must not have been suspended or revoked)
● Possess an FAA issued Ground Support Letter-of-Authorization provided by client
● Must have successfully completed required client’s provided training for Ground Support and Visual Observer roles for client’s Part 135 Operations
● Participate in periodic client’s provided training to maintain relevant skills and knowledge
● Participate in Vendor’s FAA drug and alcohol screening program
Description/Responsibilities:
● Ensure daily availability of vendor staff to meet client’s operating requirements
● Schedule vendor staff to perform required functions to meet client’s operating requirements
● Maintain required records for vendor staff who provide this service type and provide upon request to client’s or the FAA within 24 hours
● Provide quality assurance and safety oversight of vendor activities at client’s facilities within a geographically defined area
● Manage performance of vendor staff and activities at client’s facilities within a geographically defined area
● Perform aircraft inspections (including pre-flight and post-flight inspections), daily start of day and end of day activities during GS duty shifts
● Perform routine aircraft standard practices (as defined in client’s UAS Maintenance Manual) during GS duty shifts
● Perform nest equipment inspections (including pre-flight and post-flight inspections)
● Identify nest equipment deficiencies and request needed replacements from client
● Identify crew equipment deficiencies and request needed replacements from client
● Maintain operational communications with the client’s Remote Site Lead using client’s provided equipment
Nature of the Job:
- This is NOT a pilot position.
- Primarily Ground Support, with minimal Visual Observation (VO), which is expected to be phased out in the near future.
- Participate in periodic client-provided training to maintain relevant skills and knowledge.
